National standard of the units of molar and mass concentrations of liquefied hydrocarbon gases

Developed and operated since 2013

   

Standard composition:

  • Standard analytical equipment complex within gas chromatographs «Trace GC Ultra» («Thermo Scientific», США) and «Zvet-800» («Zvet», Russian Federation).
  • Standard gravimetric gas mixing complexes within mass comparators КА10-3/Р («Mettler-Toledo», Germany), ССЕ 40К3 («Sartorius», Germany), gas mixing installations and installations for liquefied hydrocarbon mixtures preparation.
  • Comparison standards kit: certified pure hydrocarbon components  (ethane C2H6, propene C3H6, propane C3H8, isobutane i-C4H10, normal butane n-C4H10, isopentane i-C5H12, normal pentane n-C5H12) and gases-thinners (methane CH4, helium He, nitrogen N2), as well as standard gas mixtures tanks under pressure (0,5-7) MPa and standard mixtures of liquefied hydrocarbons in tanks with constant pressure on their basis.
  • Technical kit that includes the set of low capacity tanks, including constant pressure tanks of piston type, thermovacuum tank preparation units and roller bed to mix gases in tanks.

Metrological characteristics:

Size of measurement unit – molar (mass) fraction of the component to be determined – is reproduced in the form of standard gas mixtures and standard liquefied hydrocarbon mixtures prepared from certified standard components by gravimetric method, and transferred via standard analytical equipment complex.

  • The range of molar fraction of the components of standard liquefied hydrocarbon mixtures (C3H6, C3H8, i-C4H10, n-C4H10, i-C5H12, n-C5H12) – from 0,10 % to 99,0 %; the value of the relative expanded measurement uncertainty – from 2,5 % to 0,5 % (k = 2; Р = 95 %).
  • The range of mass fraction of the components of standard liquefied hydrocarbon mixtures (C3H6, C3H8, i-C4H10, n-C4H10, i-C5H12, n-C5H12) – from 0,10 % to 99,0 %; the value of the relative expanded measurement uncertainty – from 3.0 % to 0,5 % (k = 2; Р = 95 %).
  • The range of molar fraction of the components of standard gas mixtures (C2H6, C3H8, i-C4H10, n-C4H10, i-C5H12, n-C5H12 in gases-thinners) – from 0.060 % to 15.00 %; the value of the relative expanded measurement uncertainty – from 1.8 % to 0.07 % (k = 2; Р = 95 %).

Scope:

Producing and certification of reference materials of the liquefied hydrocarbon mixtures for metrological attestation, verification, calibration and graduation of measuring instruments for component compound of liquefied hydrocarbon gases in chemical, oil-processing and heat and power engineering industry.

SI RB was implemented with 4 types of national reference materials of liquefied hydrocarbon mixtures under № GSO РБ 2151-09, 2152-09, 2578-12, 2579-12
