Of the radionuclide activity unit

The standard was established and is in operation since 2009

Standard composition:

The standard consists of a set of measurement instruments:

sets of standard radioactive sources:

  • alfa rays from plutonium 239 radionuclide on hard flat base of P9 type;
  • beta rays from strontium 90 + and ittrium-90 radionuclide on hard flat base of С0 type;
  • beta rays of similar geometry from carbon-14, thallium-204 and strontium-90+ittrium-90 nuclide;

sets of standard spectrometric sources:

  • alfa rays from radium-226, plutonium-238, plutonium-239; plutonium-239 + plutonium-239 + uranium-233 radionuclide on hard base of OSAI type;
  • sets of standard spectrometric sources of gamma rays of OSPI type, attested according to activity as working standards of the first rate in accordance with GOST 8.033;
  • standard radionuclide solutions, certified according to specific activity as working standards of the first rate in accordance with GOST 8.033;
  • spectrometric block of detection of gamma quantum with the detector of GEM80-40 type, digital spectrometric block ORTEC DSPEC jr 2.0 and protection against external radiation;
  • spectrometric block of detection of gamma quantum with the detector of DGDK-125V type, preamplifier of PU-G-1 type and protection against external radiation;
  • spectrometric tract from spectrometric amplifier of 672 type and four-way multi-channel impulse analyzer of 919Е type;
  • scales of the 4th precision class of PG8001-S type;
  • scales of the 1st precision class of AT261DeltaRange type

Metrological characteristics:

  • measurement range for gamma-radiating radionuclides – from 10 to 5105 Bq;
  • error of transferring of gamma-radiating radionuclide activity unit ± 3–5%;
  • particle flux α-β range – 5 - 107 s-1;
  • particle flux α-β error ± 5 %
