National standard of temperature unit - Kelvin

The standard is produced and is in operation since 1995

 

Standard composition:

the standard consists of a complex of measurement means:

 

  • vials of reference points of international temperature scale, 1990 (MTSH-90):
  • mercury triple point (- 38,8344 °С); water triple point (0,01 °С); gallium fusion point (29,7646 °С); solidifying points: indium (156,5985 °С), stannum (231,928 °С), zinc (419,527 °С), aluminum (660,323 °С), argentum (961,78 °С)
  • thermostatic systems meant for reproduction and support of vials of reference points MTSH-90:
  • thermostat Fluke 7341 for maintenance of mercury triple point ;
  • low-temperature thermostat «Cryostat ТТВ» – in order to support the vial of water triple point;
  • thermostate device «Zinc-5» – in order to support the vial of zinc solidifying point; thermostate devices: «Thermostat А3» – in order to support reference points of stannum, indium solidifying points, and gallium fusion point;
  • thermostat Fluke 9115А – in order to support aluminum solidifying point;
  • thermostat Fluke 9116А – in order to support argentum solidifying point; sets of check gauges of electric resistance Tinsley for (10 Ohm, 100 Ohm, 1000 Ohm);
  • thermometric bridge F18;
  • a group of platinum resistance thermometers: PTS-10, Tinsley 25 Ohm;
  • precision temperature meter Super Termometer 1590 with the reference platinum resistance thermometer 25 Ohm

Metrological characteristics:

  • Range of reproducible temperature values – from -38,8344 to 961,78 °С;
  • standard secures reproduction of the temperature unit – Kelvin (and transfer of its size) with standard deviation of measurement results S, not exceeding the range of 234, 3156 - 273, 16 К:

0,25•10-3 К at 234,3156 К;

0,05•10-3 К at 273,16 К;

  • residual bias θ does not exceed:

0,70•10-3 К at 234,3156 К;

0,11•10-3 К at 273,16 К;

  • standard uncertainty, assessed according to type А, uA does not exceed:

  • standard uncertainty, assessed according to type А, uA does not exceed:

  • regional metrological centers of Gosstandart,
  • metrological services of enterprises, organizations, economic agents
