National standard of light intensity and illuminance units

The standard is produced and is in operation since 2002

Standard composition:

  • five photometric lamps SIS107-35 with nominal values of light intensity (35 ± 4) cd at color temperature (2360 ± 4) K;
  • five photometric lamps SIS40-100 with nominal values of light intensity (100 ± 10) cd at color temperature (2860 ± 15) K;
  • five photometric lamps SIS107-500 with nominal values of light intensity (500± 50) cd at color temperature (2800± 15) K;
  • three precision photometers PhSS for measuring illuminance within the range of (10 – 1500) lux;
  • three photometric lamps SIS40-100, certified at color temperature within the range (2360 – 2856) ± 15 K;
  • comparator of color temperature, which consists of a photometer and two color (blue and red) filters, certified within the range of (2000 – 2856) ± 5 K;
  • optical bench with the length of 4 m;
  • ranging system;
  • feed system of the photometric lamps;
  • the system of information registration;
  • colorimetric block;
  • photometric block of low intensity of illuminance

 Metrological characteristics:

Standard deviation of measuring results:

  • according to the light intensity and illuminance, not more than ± 0,26 % ;
  • according to color intensity, not more than ± 6,6 K

Germany, PTB (Physics and Technology Institute)

Scope of application:

  • Verification and calibration of light measuring lamps on light intensity and color temperature;
  • Verification and calibration of autobulbs on light intensity and color temperature;
  • Verification and calibration of luxmeters, luminance meters, colorimeters and photometers, reflection meters, whiteness meters;
  • Examination of photometric characteristics of light diodes;
  • Verification and calibration of television calorimeters;
  • Research of photometric characteristics of light diodes;
  • Research activities

In 2008 – 2010 there was carried out updating of the standard.
