National standard of the units of average power, attenuation and wave length of optical radiation for fiber-optic systems of communication and data transfer (VOSP)

 

Developed and operated since 2015

Composition:

  • Set of measuring instruments for average power of optical radiation in VOSP (KSIVSM);
  • Set of measuring instruments for attenuation measuring in VOSP (KSIO);
  • Set of measuring instruments for measuring laser radiation wave length in VOSP (KSIDV);

Metrological characteristics:

  • Average power of optical radiation at fixed wave lengths of spectral range from 650 to 1700 nm within the range from 1•10-11 to 5•10-3 W;
  • Attenuation of optical radiation in VOSP at fixed wave lengths of spectral range from 650 to 1700 nm within the range from 0.05 to 60,00 dB;
  •  Wave length of optical radiation in VOSP in spectral range from 650 to 1700 nm at fixed wave lengths 655 nm, 852 nm, 1309 nm, 1489 nm, 1548 nm, 1627 nm;

Random error of reproduction:

―     Average power of optical radiation, no more than

―     0,07%, within the range from 1•10-4 to 5•10-3 W;

―     0.08 %, within the range from 1•10-11 to 1•10-4 W;

―     attenuation, no more 0,003 dB;

―     Wave length, no more 1•10-6 %.

Non-excluded systematic error:

―     Average power of optical radiation, no more than

―     0.02 %, within the range from 1•10-4 to 5•10-3 W;

―     2.6 %, within the range from 1•10-11 to 1•10-4 W;

―     attenuation, no more 0.09 dB;

―     Wave length, no more 8•10-6 %.

Application field:

Transfer of the size of the units of average power, attenuation and wave length of optical radiation to working standards used for calibration and verification of measuring instruments applied in VOSP;

Carrying out of examinations of metrological characteristics of the equipment under development in the field of instrument making, medicine, science and communications.
