National standard of electrical field intensity

Developed and operated since 2018

Standard composition:

The standard is constructed according to block principle. It includes the following blocks:

  • generation unit;
  • emitting device;
  • measuring unit;
  • electrical field comparator;
  • personal computer with control software.

Metrological characteristics:

  • Reproduction and transfer of electrical field intensity unit within the frequency range from 5 Hz to 400 kHz.
  • Dynamic range of electrical field intensity from 0,5 to 2000 V/m.
  • Standard deviation of measurement results from 0,2 % to 0,4 % at measurements number n=5.
  • Non-excluded systematic error from 3,6 % to 4,4 % (Р=0,99) (depending on frequency range of electrical field reproduced).
  • Expanded measurement uncertainty when reproducing and transferring the unit of electrical field intensity by the standard is 2,8 % - 2,9 % at confidence probability Р=0,95, k=2.

  • attestation of working places by the level of electromagnetic fields intensity;
  • carrying out of investigations by information protection services;
  • tests of products for electromagnetic compatibility and safety;
  • performing measurements of electromagnetic field levels at field;
  • state defense capacity ensurance;
  • human life and health protection.

  • FGUP “VNIIFTRI” (Russia), National verification schema for instruments for measuring electrical field intensity within the frequency range of 0 - 20 kHz
  • National verification schema for instruments for measuring electrical field intensity within the frequency range of 0,0003 - 1000 MHz.
